WHAT IS FAR INFRARED?
Far infrared rays are invisible waves of energy that can penetrate deep into tissue, joints and muscle, warming your body from the inside out. This penetration enables the detoxification of cells at a deeper level than traditional sauna. Far infrared heat has been used therapeutically in Japan and Germany for over 80 years and is so safe it is used in some hospitals to warm newborn infants in incubators.
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
The benefits are different for everyone but include detoxification, increased circulation and metabolism, a glowing complexion, improved skin conditions (like eczema and dermatitis), pain relief, muscle relaxation, and deeper sleep. See the benefits section for a more complete list.
ARE THERE ANY RISKS?
There are some considerations for people with specific conditions like high blood pressure and heart disease. Please discuss any chronic conditions with us and consult your doctor before your first session. Women who are pregnant should not sweat at Dew.
WHAT DO I WEAR?
You should wear thick socks and loose, long-sleeved, cotton lounge clothes that you don't mind getting soggy. Think loose sweat pants or pajamas vs. yoga pants to allow your skin to breathe. We have a change room and showers on site and we encourage you to bring a change of clothes to maximize your post-sweat comfort.
CAN I SWEAT IN THE SAME ROOM WITH A FRIEND/S?
Yes! For pairs, book Rooms A+B or Rooms B+C. For groups of three, book Rooms A+B+C. To book the entire space for groups of four, please email or call us to make arrangements.
HOW LONG WILL I BE SWEATING?
Each sweat session is 55 minutes but your body heats up gradually so the last 15-20 minutes are when the most sweating (and detoxing) occurs.
WHAT IF I GET TOO HOT?
You will feel hot, particularly near the end of your session when the most benefits are gained, so we give you a cold cloth during your final 15 minutes to help make you more comfortable. If you are uncomfortable at any point, let us know and we can turn your blanket down or end your session early.
CAN I TAKE A SHOWER AFTER MY SESSION?
You should not shower for at least 30 minutes after your session in order to allow your body to return to its normal temperature naturally and not halt the detox process. We recommend that you shower after this time to maximize the benefits.
HOW OFTEN SHOULD I SWEAT TO MAXIMIZE THE BENEFITS?
Sweat frequency depends on your goals and the issues you want to address, but we recommend sweating weekly to build on the health benefits of infrared and maintain results.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
A single 55 minute session is $55 but ask about our membership & packages of 4, 8, and 12 sessions to reduce your cost per sweat..
ARE SESSIONS COVERED BY BENEFITS?
Our treatments may be covered by more flexible benefits plans; for example if you have a League Lifestyle Spending Account, your sweats can be purchased and covered through their platform. Coverage depends on your insurance plan so check with your health benefits provider.
WILL I BE ASKED TO FILL OUT ANY FORMS?
Yes, we ask that you arrive 15 minutes before your first appointment to fill out this form for our records.

Hydrate throughout the day before your session.
Arrive 15 minutes early to read and sign your forms.
Wear or change into your comfiest long-sleeved sweat clothes and socks.
Recline in one of our beds as we wrap you in our FAR infrared blanket.
Choose your favourite Netflix show.
Relax, sip water, and SWEAT for 55 minutes.
Cool off in our lounge with fresh fruit, and soothing music.
Don’t shower for at least 30 minutes to maximize your sweat benefits.
